Majestic Names Elizabeth Newman Commercial Director

Majestic has appointed Elizabeth Newman as the new commercial director.

Newman, who will begin her role in August, comes from Nectar360, where she has served as director of operations since January 2024.

She has a long history with Sainsbury’s, having joined the company as a buyer in July 2010. She advanced to head of category planning for beers, wines, and spirits (BWS) in January 2013, and later to category director for BWS in 2015.

At Majestic, Newman will be responsible for the buying, merchandising, trading, and e-commerce functions, and will join the executive board, reporting directly to CEO John Colley.
